Shimmering Walk

Shimmering Walk is an art installation inspired by the dragonfly and its symbolism of transformation, change, and adaptability. I wanted to capture the essence of the dragonfly and its quiet teachings, and translate them into a pathway where light and movement work together to create a sense of presence and reflection.
The installation consists of a walkway formed by five dragonfly sculptures. Each dragonfly is built from a delicate wire frame wrapped in iridescent and reflective fabric, hand sewn through the structure to give the wings and body a feeling of fluidity. Many hands came together in the construction, forming a shared gesture of care and collective making that reflects the installation’s themes of connection and transformation.
